The Griffin Chemical Analysis Tool (GCAT)™ family of Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometers (GC/MS) offers high-performance detection, identification, quantitation, and confirmation for a broad range of compounds of interest. Based on a common analytical configuration, each GCAT™ Family product (formerly called Minotaur) has a distinctively different form factor for desktop, mobile-laboratory, fieldable, and portable applications.
All of our GCAT products provide unparalleled selectivity through the use of multidimensional mass analysis, MS/MS (MSn or tandem MS), enabling users to make informed decisions. The GCAT family of products is capable of confirming the presence of explosives, chemical warfare agents (CWA's), industrial chemicals and organic compounds, including both volatile and semi-volatile components. Our products are extremely flexible because we equip them with application-specific sampling technologies and package our systems to address specific customer needs.
The GCAT 300 GC/MS/MS system is ideal for research, teaching, and safe zone method development. The GCAT 300's small footprint is ideal for today's space challenged teaching laboratories. Because the 300 employs the same CIT technology as our other products, "safe" zone method development provides for the simple, direct, and safe transference of methods to other GCAT products that are taken into the field, including "warm" and "hot" zones. The durable design and optional sample introduction and separation techniques of the 300 provides for the ultimate in analytical flexibility.
The GCAT 400 GC/MS/MS system is ideal for mobile laboratory and environmental field applications. The 400 also employs the same CIT technology and therefore has the same core analytical capabilities as the 300. The analytical components of the instrument have been shock mounted and placed on a fully ruggedized chassis.
The GCAT 500 GC/MS/MS system is ideal for portable and field-based applications. Griffin Analytical Technologies is the first to bring a suitcase-sized system, capable of MS/MS to the market. The GCAT 500 has an on-board computer with a simplified software interface for real-time, on-site analysis.
